Photographs, illustrating effective use of of composition.
The following photos show an effective use of composition in photos. Selective focus as well as the rule of thirds are often used to create a more pleasing image. Leading lines are also used to give the eye a place to look or to lead the eye to a specific part of the image. The aspect ratio is also used in photographic composition I.e. the way the camera is oriented (landscape or portrait). There is also the use of framing in an image to create a better composition.
The following photos will represent some of these techniques that are commonly used in creating a well composed image.
This photo of a well known fashion blogger and her street style represent the rule of thirds. This is why the photo is more pleasing to the eye compared to the subject just being placed directly in the center of the photo. The grid placed over the photo helps represent this.
